The 2022-23 cross-country season kicked off on a bone-dry course at Weald Park near Brentwood for the Essex Cross-Country Relays on Saturday 24 September.
The senior men's team of Simon Slattery, Alan Fricker, Nick Barker and Jon Whitehouse represented Loughton AC - the club's first appearance at the event for several years.
Subject to final confirmation the team finished 24th men's team out of 37 in a field which was of very high quality at the front of the field. Each runner completed a two-lap 6k course.
